Event Rules:
- All classes are open to anyone from any county or state.
- Drivers/Crew Members must be 18 years old or 16 years old with signed consent by a parent or legal guardian. If requested, photo ID must be provided as proof of age.
- The driver and only one crew member will be admitted to the Fair at no charge and will be the only ones permitted into the pit/pulling area. Those individuals will be given a wristband when they enter their event. Wristbands must be worn at all times and will be your pass to get into the pit/pulling area. Anyone without a wristband and will NOT be permitted. NO ADDITIONAL WRISTBANDS MAY BE PURCHASED.
- All drivers and crew members must sign a release of liability waiver in order to enter the pit/pulling area. Absolutely no one under 16 years of age will be permitted. If requested, photo ID must be provided as proof of age.
- Competitors should be on the grounds at least two (2) hours before their pulling time, tech inspection area will close one hour prior to the scheduled start of the event.
- All drivers must attend a driver’s meeting held ½ hour before the event begins.
- Competitors and crew members will observe their class rules as well as the event rules.
- Tractors and trucks must be removed from the grounds the night of the pull.
- All competitors must wear a sleeved shirt, pants, and shoes.
- One hook per class unless you’re the first puller. First puller may drop their first hook and pull last, but they must keep that one.
- Registration for each event will close one hour after the scheduled start time.
- Once a class begins, no additional entries will be accepted for that class.
- Once an entry is made, no refunds will be issued regardless of the reason for scratching.
- Any harassment towards staff or officials will result in disqualification and loss of entry fee and prize money.
- Tech inspectors and Judges decisions are final.
- It is understood that the Wyoming County Fair will not be responsible for any breakage or damage incurred to any equipment.
- Disclaimer: ANY DRIVER ARGUING WITH TRACK OFFICIALS OR TECH OFFICIALS WILL IMMEDIATELY BE DISQUALIFIED AND ASKED TO LEAVE THE GROUNDS. ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL!
Competitor Conduct:
- Pulling vehicles must be operated in a safe manner at all times.
- The operator must retain seat during the pull and must have complete control of the vehicle at all times.
- Only the driver will be allowed on a vehicle when it is being towed. NO RIDERS.
- If any driver or any of his/her crew is incapacitated due to intoxication or drugs, his/her truck or tractor will be disqualified, and they will forfeit entry fees and prize money.
Protest Rule:
The contestant must sign a protest form and submit $200 in cash to the competition director along with the reason for the protest before the protest can be discussed with the competition director. The protest will be reviewed by the rules committee. If the vehicle or contestant have been found to be valid and there was a violation of the rules the deposit will be returned to the person who filed the protest. If the protest was not valid and there was no violation of the rules the deposit will go to the Fair.
Gas Truck Rules:
6,800 lbs. Street Stock:
- Truck must be registered insured and inspected. Proof is required
- Weight is permitted but must be mounted and secure in the bed of the truck. No hanging weight or weight in engine compartment or cab.
- Battery must be in stock location and secure.
- Truck must be stock appearing meaning no body modifications are permitted. (Full bed, full cab, including all bumpers). Wood boxes or flat beds allowed. Bumpers must be fully intact.
- No chassis or suspension mods are permitted (tractions bars, air suspension, or blocks are not allowed!)
- 93 octane or below fuel only
- OEM intake only
- No programmers
- No headers allowed and exhaust must be street legal
- Only a receiver style hitch allowed no pulling off of the bumper. The hook point must be the rear most part of the vehicle and height is 26 inches or less. Must have at least a 3.75 inch hole for the sled hook to go through.
- Tires must be DOT. No dual rear tires
6,500 lbs. Modified Street:
- Truck must be registered insured and inspected. Proof is required
- Hanging weight is permitted but not more than 60” to the front of the weights or weight box from the center line of the axle. Weight must be secured in a box or strapped on the weight bracket.
- Battery must be securely mounted
- Truck must be stock appearing meaning no body modifications are permitted. (Full bed, full cab, including all bumpers). Wood boxes or flat beds allowed. Bumpers can be cut for access to the hitch or clevis.
- Hitch must be no more than 26 inches high and will be measured to the center point of the hook point. Hitches must be reese style hitches and close to factory position on the rear of the truck.
- Headers are permitted but must have an exhaust with mufflers no open headers!
- Pump gas or race fuel is allowed.
- Engines must be in stock location of the vehicle.
- Transmission and transfer case must be of OEM type.
- Rears must be one ton or smaller.
- Must have OEM steering components (no hydraulic steering allowed)
- Traction bars are allowed and suspension must have at least 1 inch of travel.
6,300 lbs. Pro Street:
- Trucks do not have to be registered insured or inspected.
- Solid suspensions allowed as well as any suspension mods.
- Hitch height will be 26 inches and must be accessible to hook the truck up on the track.
- Batteries must be securely mounted
- Must have a full floor in the bed or a cover over the top of the bed if no floor Is in the bed.
- No cut tires will be allowed
- Must have at least front brakes
- Trucks must be equipped with the following safety features (Kill switch located near the hook point, fire extinguisher, helmet, and drive shaft loops for front and rear of truck and must have some form of a seatbelt, blowproof bellhousing or transmission blanket required). Fire suit is optional but highly recommended.
- No nitrous will be permitted.
- Open headers are allowed and only single carburetors allowed
- No drop boxes!
Diesel Truck Rules:
8,500 lbs Street Stock:
- Truck must be registered, insured and inspected. Proof is required.
- Weight is permitted but must be mounted and secured in the bed of the truck. No hanging weight or weight in engine compartment or cab.
- Battery must be in stock location and secure.
- Truck must be stock appearing meaning no body modifications are permitted. (Full bed, full cab, including all bumpers). Wood boxes or flat beds allowed. Bumpers must be fully intact.
- No chassis or suspension mods are permitted (tractions bars, air suspension, or blocks are not allowed!)
- Programmers are allowed
- Exhaust must be street legal. Trucks must not blow any black smoke!!
- Only a receiver style hitch allowed no pulling off of the bumper. The hook point must be the rear most part of the vehicle and height is 26 inches or less. Must have at least a 3.75 inch hole for the sled hook to go through.
- Tires must be DOT. Dual rear wheels will be allowed.
- Stock turbos must be used (6.4 powerstoke use 2 turbo factory) and turbos must be in OEM location.
- No aftermarket fuel injection pumps and must be in stock location.
8,500 lbs. Modified Street Diesel:
- Truck must be registered insured and inspected. Proof is required
- Hanging weight is permitted but not more than 60” to the front of the weights or weight box from the center line of the axle. Weight must be secured in a box or strapped on the weight bracket.
- Battery must be securely mounted
- Truck must be stock appearing meaning no body modifications are permitted. (Full bed, full cab, including all bumpers). Wood boxes or flat beds allowed. Bumpers can be cut for access to the hitch or clevis.
- Hitch must be no more than 26 inches high and will be measured to the center point of the hook point. Hitches must be reese style hitches and close to factory position on the rear of the truck.
- Programmers are allowed and trucks are allowed black smoke.
- Aftermarket turbos are not allowed.
- Engines must be in stock location of the vehicle, intakes and exhaust can be modified.
- Transmission and transfer case must be of OEM type.
- Rears must be one ton or smaller.
- Must have OEM steering components (no hydraulic steering allowed)
- Traction bars are allowed and suspension must have at least 1 inch of travel.
8,000 lbs. Pro Street Diesel:
- Trucks do not have to be registered insured or inspected.
- Solid suspensions allowed as well as any suspension mods.
- Hitch height will be 26 inches and must be accessible to hook the truck up on the track.
- Batteries must be securely mounted
- Must have a full floor in the bed or a cover over the top of the bed if no floor Is in the bed.

8,000 lbs. Open Diesel:
- Hitch height is 26 inch or less
- Safety requirements are drive shaft loops, helmets, fire jacket, blow proof bellhousing or transmission blanket, fire extinguisher, kill switch mounted by the hooking point
- Cut or DOT tires approved
- Drop boxes allowed
- All injection pump, turbos including multiple turbos, programmers, etc. are allowed.
Semi-Trucks:
- Driver will provide current CDL driver’s license, license plate, valid proof of insurance, registration and current inspection sticker.
- Truck must have operating fifth wheel. Chaining or blocking of drive axles is NOT permitted.
- Trucks get one hook only, with the exception of the first puller.
- The hitching device will be provided by the promoter of the event. This hitch will work from the fifth wheel only. Hitches will be placed in position and checked by officials just prior to the truck entering the track to pull. A truck may NOT use it’s own hitching device in this class unless prior approval is received from the competition director.
- The truck should appear “road ready”. No added weight or ballast is permitted.
- No ether, alcohol, water, nitrous or other liquid or combustible material may be injected into the turbo charger or any part of the air intake system. Only the fuel that was originally intended for that engine may be used.
- Hitch height may be checked on the track at the end of the pull.
