YOUTH FLORAL EXHIBITS

Rules:
- Read the premium material for Department 17 very carefully. Follow all rules and regulations. If an entry calls for a specific number of blooms, be sure to exhibit that number.
- The entry fee schedule is printed on the entry form. The correct fee MUST accompany the entry form. Entries are due August 8th.
- All entries must be brought to the Fairgrounds, the Monday before the Fair between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Entries must be removed from the Fairgrounds the Tuesday after the Fair between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Claim tickets must be presented to pick up entries and to claim premium checks.
- The use of artificial flowers is prohibited, and no premiums will be paid on them.
- All entries must be grown by the exhibitor, except Section 6.
- Exhibitors must supply their own CLEAR GLASS CONTAINERS and CLEAR LIQUID. Containers will be given every possible care but the Fair assumes no responsibility for their safety.
- Exhibitors are limited to one entry per class unless otherwise stated.
- After two or three days, exhibitors may want to replace some blooms.
- Youth Under 19 – for additional information and the correct entry codes see Department 11.
- ALL TAGS MUST BE ATTACHED TO THE PLANT PRIOR TO CHECK IN.
FOLIAGE HOUSE PLANTS
Rules:
Premiums: $4 $3 $2 $1
Rules:
- Enter plants that would qualify as house plants.
- Only one species per pot. Plants must be growing in its container two months prior to the Fair.
- If the entry is a hanging plant it should be so indicated on the entry form and exhibitors must supply their own S hook large enough to go on a 1 ½” pipe, and the top of the container must be no larger than 12” in diameter.

9. Fairy Garden - Should create a miniature landscape where a tiny fairy could dwell. Should include 3 or more flowering and/or foliage plants in an appropriate open, shallow container (maximum 18" length or width x 8" high). It may include miniature pathways, dwellings, furniture, etc. but at least 50% of the garden must be living plants. To be judged on creativity and originality, composition, and proportional scale of design as well as health and cultural perfection of plant material.

- The uniformity of height, color, or size is an important factor in evaluating entries.
- Flowers in each entry MUST BE OF ONE COLOR AND VARIETY unless otherwise stated.
- FURNISH YOUR OWN CLEAR COLORLESS GLASS CONTAINER.
- Specimens will not be eligible for judging if not in the correct container and correct number of stems.
