Open Scarecrow Contest

Premiums:     $50      $40      $30      $20      $10

Rules:
  1. Read the premium material for Department 22, Class 5 very carefully.  Follow all rules and regulations.
  2. The entry fee is $5.00, the correct fee MUST accompany the entry form.  Entries are due August 8th.
  3. All entries must be brought to the Fairgrounds the Monday before the Fair between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM.  Entries must be removed from the Fairgrounds the Tuesday after the Fair between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM.  Claim tickets must be presented to pick up entries and to claim premium checks.
  4. Only entries from Department 22, Section 3, Class 5 should be listed on the same entry form.
  5. All entries must be made of mostly natural material, and should be clothed and ready to exhibit.  Exhibitors must supply their own means of anchoring the scarecrow, such as stakes, rods, pins, etc.
  6. Remember, the scarecrows will be displayed indoors.  Choose materials for construction which are appropriate.
  7. All scarecrows must be 5’-7’ tall as measured in place from the ground to the highest point of the entry.
  8. Scarecrows will be judged on :
         Originality                     50 points
         Workmanship               30 points
         General appearance    20 points
   9. All entries must be made in the current fair year.
  10. ​The contest is open to all clubs, groups, organizations, or individuals.

Youth Scarecrow Contest

Premiums:     $25        $20        $15        $10        $5

Rules:
