Fair Queen Application

Contest Information:
Each Contestant must:

1. Be a U.S. citizen and a resident of Pennsylvania.
2. Be between the ages of 12 and 15.
3. Have her parent’s consent.
4. Not be a former winner of the Wyoming County Fair Junior Queen contest.
5. Complete a biographical information sheet and mail it to Amber Hoke 238 Post Hill Rd. Falls, PA 18615 postmarked no later than July 15th.
6. Participate in each phase of the judged competition.

At the Wyoming County Fair competition, each contestant:

1. Will be present at 6:00 PM on Thursday, at the Fairgrounds for the contest.  Dress is semi-formal. Gowns are optional.
2. Will participate in a 5 minute personal interview with our judging panel.
3. Will give a 2-3 minute speech on “My favorite thing to do at my Fair and why”.
4. Is expected to be visible during the remaining days of the Fair and make appearances or present awards as requested, both during the Fair and throughout the year.

Awards:

1. The winner will receive a $100 cash prize, along with a tiara and banner from the Wyoming County Fair.
2. Each contestant will receive a participation gift.  The 1st Alternate will receive a $50 cash prize along with tiara and banner.  The 2nd Alternate will receive a $25 cash prize along with a tiara and banner.
